Many people have heard of breast cancer. They probably haven’t heard of or refer to fibrocystic breast disease. Besides this being a mouthful to say, it is also not widely known. However, fibrocystic breast disease is usually determined during a breast exam whether it is done as a self-examination or by a mammogram. The person doing the exam would notice lumps in the breast.
