Europe is the second smallest continent in the world. There are about 44 sovereign states in Europe and some territories and dependencies. The culture of Europe is largely built on core human values and activities. Europe has a great cultural heritage and the uniqueness in the culture of Europe is due to the amazing civilizations of the ancient people which the succeeding generations have managed to build on in the areas of architectural designs, arts, music, philosophy and literature.

This does not mean that European countries are bounded to the same cultural practices but it means, some areas of their cultural practices are very common to some countries. For example, some countries in Europe are sharing the same religious beliefs, some kinds of cultural songs are very common in some European countries. Also, due to the unique nature of the European culture, the culture of Europe has been widely accepted by many other countries of the world.
