Space debris in a simple term, is junk, garbage, trash, suspended in the space. According to reports, there are millions of space debris in the atmosphere, this includes both visible and tiny particles which cannot be touched. Space debris includes old satellites, some old and dead satellites are now freely coming into the earth surface. Also, some pieces of space debris are particles from solid rocket motors, surface erosion debris like paint flakes, and frozen coolant.

This means pieces of space debris are not always from broken satellites, although the common ones are from the satellite. Space debris is very dangerous to lives in the earth. Space garbage are directionless objects and can easily hit anybody when they escape into the earth. Even most collide with aircrafts and thereby resulting to accident. That's why most aircrafts are using radar to dodge space debris.
