Culture in a simple term, is a total of living of some people that are confined within a geographical location. The culture of a particular place would have a great influence on many aspects of human life, it will affect their mode of dressing, the type of food they eat, their beliefs, and many other things. The culture of Bulgaria can be dated back to many centuries ago.

The early civilizations of the Bulgars was on music and early architectural designs. Like some of the ancient civilizations of the Thracians, ancient Greek, Romans, the Bulgars had also left traces of their early civilizations to the succeeding generations. An example of the ancient Bulgarians cultural music is folk music, the music is unique in its highly irregular rhythms and complex harmonies.

These kinds of rhythms, also called uneven beats or asymmetric measures, were introduced to musicologists only in 1886. Bulgarians also have this culture of shaking hands with their left hands and they also have some ancient foods and drinks they can boldly lay claim to.
