When you see people using BTW on social media, it means By The Way. In the past I used to think BTW is the short form of 'Between' but I was wrong but recently I got the right meaning. 'By The Way' is used when people want to add more information that is crucial to a topic being discussed.

When you see people using BTW on social media, it means By The Way. In the past I used to think BTW
For example, you may be discussing something that has to do with your upcoming party and you have done so well by analyzing how the event would go but you suddenly remember you have not talked about what people we eat at the program. You can simply add that simply this way, BTW we would be enjoying ourselves with different types of food and drink at the party.

You don't say BTW in the real world because people might find it difficult to understand but when you use it while chatting, it will really make sense.

BTW is another set of initials used in texting to speed communications along. It means By the Way or incidentally. You can use this to quickly put someone in the picture about recent happenings, such as btw Harry's dumped Sara. Or semi-humorously like "btw I got the job." Texting and these abbreviations are so useful for communicating on the run or surreptitiously under the desk at work. But there are dangers too as it is quite easy for such rapid messages to be wrongly interpreted.

BTW means by the way. There are instances when you would like to let the person know that there is something that may be related to the topic that you are talking about what you want to discuss.

For example, you may want to talk about the article that you have just made and the BTW can be used in order to ask the person how much the payment for the article will be.

You may even ask when you will get the payment for the article. This is related to the topic that you are discussing with the person but you are adding it in passing. This means that you want to know the answer even if it is not your main topic.

You might probably have seen the acronym BTW on the internet or you have seen people using it and you are still confused about the real meaning. BTW is the acronym for By The Way, don't confuse it for 'Between', as I used to think the acronym is for 'between' and I'm sure many people still do.

The acronym is used mostly online, also when people are exchanging messages on any of the messaging apps. BTW is mostly used to start a sentence. For example, ''BTW, I hope the program is still coming up tomorrow''. The acronym is used when something important to pass across to people is remembered.

People tend to use acronyms probably because they are having a limited space or character to type and you would see that typing ordinary BTW to mean By The Way would save a lot of time. Remember not all acronyms can be used in a formal communication.
