Is liquor allowed in Dubai?

The correct answer to this question is yes. Though liquor is allowed in Dubai, the city has strict regulations for those that wish to drink. To be able to drink in Dubai, the resident must have the license to drink. If a person is not a resident of Dubai, the tourist is only able to drink in businesses in the city that have licenses.

However, if a person drinks in a place where liquor is prohibited, there could be serious consequences. The reason why some areas of Dubai are more strict in regards to liquor due to their religious beliefs.

Liquor is legal in Dubai, but there are stiff regulations. For instance, residents are not allowed to drink unless they have a license to do so. Otherwise, they are in a lot of trouble if they do. Tourists can drink but only in licensed establishments and never in conservative places that forbid it. It is highly regulated, but it is allowed.
