The same way US uses CIA to source for information and also intelligence gathering about anything, is actually what wikileaks is intended to do. Wikileaks has always described itself an open intelligence agency where classified information and secrets can be submitted anonymously and thereafter release them to the public. Wikileaks doesn't attend to information that has already been published, which means you can only submit those ones that have not been reported by other news outlets.
