There have been tons of goverment lobbying causes and events and they continue to happen by the scores. One of the most recent was to get money to help those who have opioid addictions and also to help prevent opioid addiction. Other causes have been proabortion and anti-abortion. Labor unions lobby for higher wages and better working conditions. Many countries around the world lobby.

Lobbying for hospice and telemedicine went on this year as did lobbying for natural resources like propane and gas and oil. The reasons behind the lobbying vary but the one thing lobbyists have in common is that they believe in their root cause whether it is for humaniarian reasons, financial gain, or whatever else they find is worth fighting for and spending their time and money to advocate or prevent.
