How and when did Barack Obama become famous?

Barack Obama was noticed at university and encouraged by his tutors. It was probably a few years later when he was at law school that his fame began, because he became editor of the Harvard Law Review, a most prestigious journal internationally and he was the first African American to be so honoured.

Soon after, he became involved with the Democratic Party and it was he who organised the project that enabled very many people to vote that had been blocked before.
