We can consider 7 types of pollution: land, air, noise, water being the most important. The others being light, thermal and visual pollution. Land is polluted by household garbage and by industrial waste. Water by chemicals or dangerous foreign substances.

Air has an exact chemical composition and what is sprayed into it changes that chemical mix. Noise is stressful for humans and animals, when intense it can damage hearing.

There are many types of pollution. Being aware of them helps us to know what we can do in order to help decrease pollution. There are five types of pollution that are the main kinds. Air pollution is one of the worst kinds. It is harmful to the environment and to people, plants, and animals too.

In fact, air pollution accounts for more deaths than smoking causes. Water pollution is another major problem in the world today. Our waterways are polluted and we drink it and in turn, health problems result. Even the fish and other seafood in the ocean are being contaminated. Exhausts from the fuel in boats and even in ships and tankers are polluting our oceans and causing our fish to become toxic to eat.

Run off from factories also cause water pollution in the oceans and lakes and rivers too. Another type of pollution is soil pollution. It comes mainly from run offs of toxic and polluted waste and also from chemicals used in growing crops.

Dump sites also pollute the soild. Noise and light pollution are types of pollution too. Bright signs advertising products and companies pollute the sky as well as lights from buildings and cars and noise from cars and other sources pollute our environment as well.
