In the country of Namibia, the Namib desert is considered as possibly the world's oldest desert. This large desert covers over 102,248 square miles of the southwestern region of the African continent. This desert also seems to have some of the highest sand dunes like no where in the world.

This desert in Namibia is very dry and it comprises shifting sand dunes, gravel plains and many rugged mountains. AS the oldest desert, the Namib stretches within the land from the Atlantic ocean, covering large regions of Namibia, Angola, and South Africa.
