Do schizophrenics really have highy IQ?

Many of those who suffer from Schizophrenia do have very high IQs but that is not the reason they have Schizophrenia, it is just a statistical fact. Having a high IQ will not make you more or less likely to have Schizophrenia. It is just like saying people who come down with cancer have a high IQ.

That may be true but it has nothing to do with why they get it. It is an indicator that squashes the theory that people who suffer from Schizophrenia are dumb, because they are not. But neither are they so smart they go crazy as some believe.

Schizophrenia is cunning and it is baffling. There are no rules to the disease so just because a person has a high or a low IQ does not play any part in the chances of them getting Schizophrenia. There are a lot of misconceptions about Schizophrenia so it is good to know all the facts so you are careful not to misjudge anyone who suffers from it. Anyone can actually get it if their system is set up to so it is best to leave all the details to the professionals when it comes to judging and speculating.
