Some soup is made to be eaten hot and others can be eaten cold too. Some are actually made for being eaten cold. When you eat tomato soup, if it gets cold it usually isn't a problem because it still tastes good while chicken noodle tends to get soggy when it is cold. Aspic soups are made with gelatin and are actually made to be eaten cold.

Tomato aspic soup is quite popular. It wouldn't be very good warm and would go against the geletin effect. There are plenty of varieties of aspic soups, designed to be eaten cold. They can be made with some meat or broth in them or simply with vegetables. There are even soups made from fruit that are delicious cold. Cold soups are awesome in the summer time when no one is really in the mood for a hot soup.
