The best animal to keep at home depends upon the reason you want a pet. Goldfish are probably the easiest. They simply swim in a bowl. You rarely have to clean out the bowl and then you just have to make sure that you feed it regularly.

However, fish don’t interact with their owners very much. Some people want a pet in order to keep them company. So, a cat may be the best pet animal to keep at home. They would sit in your lap and you could walk them around your neighborhood every day. Some people want a pet in order to protect them. A dog would do that. They would bark if they noticed anything unusual. Therefore, the best pet in my opinion would be a dog.
