Why did Arnold Schwarzenegger never run for president?

There are a lot of people who were surprised that Arnold did not run for president last 2016 when he has always been vocal about liking policies and how they can be created in order to keep things more organized. He became a governor of California from 2003 to 2011, so to some extent; he already has some experience in politics.

The main reason why he cannot run for president is due to his citizenship. He is not a natural-born American, which is one of the requirements to run for the presidency. He may be doing things that will help change this constitution and make the presidential post open even for immigrants, but it will take a long time before the constitution can be changed.

Arnold Schwarzenegger started his political career after he quit acting in 2003. He contested for the governorship post during a recall election that sacked Grey Davis. After the completion of the first term, he was also reelected as the Governor of California in 2006. The question as to why Arnold Schwarzenegger has not run for president might not be unconnected with the fact that he's not an American born citizen.

The constitution of the United is so clear on this, and it states that only a natural born citizen of the United States can contest for the office of president. Although, Arnold Schwarzenegger has demonstrated several moves to contest for the post of president, as he has practically been working on changing the part of the constitution that is constraining him. However, the truth is, changing the constitution on this might be a little bit difficult.
