Cataracts is well known as the clouding of the eyes lens, in such a way that light is hindered from being supplied to the eyes for proper vision. Cataract is no respecter of sex, it occurs in both male and female sex. It can be hereditary and can also be developed as time goes by when the human eyes are exposed to some environmental risks. It starts to occur eminently in the middle ages of about forty to fifty, and it is very rampant among the old ones of about eighty years and above.

Cataract is treated mainly by its surgery, and if left untreated, it can lead to complete blindness as time goes by. However, cataracts are in three different major types. The types are nuclear sclerotic cataracts, cortical cataracts, and posterior subcapsular cataracts. One or the combination of two or all the three can develop in the human eyes. The most popular of these types is the nuclear sclerotic cataract, this starts occurring gradually, making the nucleus becoming more hardening and yellowing.
