Cookies are both a dessert and a snack. In addition to these confections, the dessert can be any confection, including cookies.

Cookies are both a dessert and a snack. Traditionally, a dessert was considered a refreshment that came after the main course was cleared from the table. Furthermore, it was reserved for fruits, pies, cakes, and pudding, and this was the term was first coined in France. Today, the term has grown to encompass all things sugary and sweet. In addition to these confections, the dessert can be any confection, including cookies.

Cookies can also be a snack, even if an unhealthy one. Cookies are small enough and do not require utensils to eat them, so they usually are eaten between meals. Most often, they are eaten as a part of a lunch desserts. Not the best energy source because of the amount of sugar in each one, cookies are usually eaten to stave off a sweet tooth. Today’s grocers have aisles filled with store bought cookies that can be eaten by themselves or with tea, coffee, or cocoa.
