According to Forbes, Bill Gates is the most generous billionaire. Gates each year contributes a significant portion of his salary to charity. Almost 58 percent of his net worth, he donates yearly to different causes. Every year, this figure changes depending on his earnings, but he has been known to contribute extremely large amounts. His most sizable contributions were in 2000 and 2017 when he gave a total of $ 5 billion and $ 4.6 billion away, respectively.

However, much of his philanthropy has been through his Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This foundation has produced work that focuses on health and education getting college-aged kids prepared for school. Other ventures that he has been involved in is donating money for developing a universal flu vaccine. The man has one of the most impressive resumes where charitable giving is concerned in that he is involved with the projects that he funds.
