While traveling by train, it is important to ask if the food you get on the train is good. In Delhi, the food at the Parliament Canteen is known to be excellent food which is actually catered by the Indian Railways. But most people who travel by the Indian Railways do not find the food tasty and may even claim that it is unhealthy for numerous reasons.

You need to be prepared for food that may not exactly be the best that you will taste but if it would manage to fill you up and if you want to experience eating on the train, then you should order the one that will best fit your needs. Train food is probably much better than airplane food where it is more difficult to store. However, like anything else, it depends upon the train. For the more exquisite and luxurious train rides, the food is possibly prepared by well-known chefs who are very qualified. The meals would be high class and of the best ingredients.

The trains that are not for journeys, but possibly for getting to work might have a few things to purchase, but it would probably be cheap snack foods like you get on airplanes. If you are looking for a train that serves the best food, then you should probably research and find their menus. Then you can see what food they serve. Then you can choose that train journey.
