The feeling you have traveling by airplane for the first time depends much on you. Some are easily exited at little things, while some are calm. Your level of excitement has a long way to determine your feeling while traveling by plane for the first time. It is most likely for someone who will be boarding an airplane for the first time to have gotten to the airport so far before time. For example, if the takeoff time were to be 2 pm, don't be surprised to see a person boarding a plane for the first time to have been at the airport since 7 am.

As a matter of fact, he or she might be having issues sleeping the night before. This is just due to the eagerness you might have traveled by plane for the first time. However, the knowledge you might have gathered before going onboard also has a part to play in how you feel traveling on the plane for the first time. Fear is another unpleasant feeling some might have, of which it's advisable that you should do without totally.

Amazing and terrifying, I would say. I was 13 when I first traveled by air. I was anxious all through the flight. The check-in process was confusing for me as I was all over the place.

I was anxious until I boarding time. When the airplane was ready to take off, and during landing, I had to hold on to my seat because I couldn’t cope with the obvious movement of the aircraft.

Also, I was scared when the airplane was bumpy in the air for some time. After some time, I realized that it is normal for this to happen.

In summary, you will have mixed feelings and emotions during your first time traveling by air. One thing to keep at the back of your mind is that you will get used to flying over time.

At first you may feel anxious, because any new adventure brings a mixture of excitement and trepidation. Once at the airport the lengthy waiting around gets tedious and by the time you are in the boarding queue you have probably lost any nerves.

Then when at last you have had your passport and ticket checked at the boarding gate and you walk down the ramp and see your airplane, the excitement takes over only dulled a little by the press of people in the queue and worry about finding your seat. There's quite a delay again between getting settled with your bag overhead and strapping yourself in your seat, so that by the time you take off all the waiting has dulled your sense of anxiety.

The lengthy run of the airplane along the tarmac and taxiing into position takes some minutes, perhaps as much as fifteen minutes and then you hear the engine roar and it's take-off. If you have a window seat it is thrilling that first time as you see the landscape get smaller. flights are wonderful things. enjoy!
