Someone with a heart disorder can travel by air without any negative effect on their health. However, it is recommended that you should meet your doctor to be well assured you can fly with your health condition. As a matter of fact, flying by air for a person with a health issue, especially heart disorder, is safer than using some other means of transportation. Nevertheless, if you have persistent or recent heart issues, it is advised you get the consent of your doctor on whether if you should travel or not. In addition, avoid carrying heavy loads.

Use suitcases or bags on the wheel to reduce the stress of carrying loads. And you can always seek help from someone to assist you if you have a heart disorder. You can also use your glyceryl trinitrate (GTN) on the plane if need be. You can even make use of your implanted cardiac devices on the plane, as it causes no harm to the plane's electronic system, but make sure you take it easy at the security checkpoint.

Yes, of course!
Most people with heart conditions can travel by airplane safely with no issue. Most airlines do not ask about health status when booking a ticket. Therefore, you can travel even if you have a history of a heart condition.

However, if you have a history of heart problems (recent heart attack, arrhythmia, heart surgery, and other heart-related problems), it is important for you to check with your doctor that you are fit to travel on an airplane.

Inform your doctor about your plan to travel, and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure you are medically fit to travel.

The flight company may not ask about your health status when you book the flight. You need travel insurance on the forms of which you have to disclose all your health problems or otherwise your insurance will be invalid and will not cover you for health treatment you may need while away.

If a condition such as a heart problem is considered a severe risk, then the company will not insure you. Some very elderly people take the view that their desire to travel outweighs their wish to have insurance.

That is, they willingly take the risk of becoming severely ill while abroad and meeting the cost of treatment in full, or of dying and leaving their relatives the burden of dealing with the severe consequences of this in a foreign country, i.e. their cost of flying out an making funeral arrangements which may be very considerable.
