Yes, kidney stone can cause death for someone. The seriousness of kidney stones depends on their location and the size. Small stones can be easy pass down the urinary tract and excreted without causing symptoms. Larger stones may get stuck in the urinary tract and block the flow of urine which can cause severe pain and bleeding.

If these go untreated, it can cause serious and permanent damage to the kidney. A risk with kidney stones is a kidney infection, which can lead to sepsis. Sepsis and septic shock can result from any part of the body. About a one – third of those that develop sepsis die. Therefore, it is possible for kidney stone to cause death for someone.
