An orator is someone who delivers great speeches to group of people. In terms of his speech-making skills, Abraham Lincoln has been one of the best in history. It helped that Lincoln was tall and distinguished-looking. Abraham Lincoln is known for giving great speeches that have risen in popularity.

Even though they were given over one hundred years ago, they are still popular today. Lincoln was such a great orator that he became a politician. This means that he was not well-known to the public while vying for certain political offices, but his speeches let people believe and trust him. The main speeches were done through the Lincoln-Douglas debates. After the debates, Lincoln became well-known. Also, he became famous when he gave the Gettysburg Address.
