Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States of America; it is an annual holiday celebrated on the 4th Thursday in the month of November. It was first celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in October 1621. Since the year 1863, it has been observed as an annual holiday in America. Thanksgiving is celebrated because it is an act of giving thanks for the good things that has happened in the past year.

Thanksgiving is usually a special time for cooking and sharing food with families, friends and the less privilege. Other countries like Canada and the United Kingdom are already partaking in this special holiday.
