With the array of dating apps and social media platforms, it's pretty easy to meet new people. The act of dating has been transformed with the process taking place through a screen instead of face-to-face. It seems like people are more comfortable striking up a conversation making it much easier to find a romantic connection. However, this new style of dating can also become exhausting.

Reading and re-reading text messages to figure out what your crush really meant and whether they are interested or not is a lot of work. It’s like having a full time job. We also now sit and wait for that special someone to text us back. There’s always the excuse of being busy or being bad with our phones from that some, but we know that everyone is “attached” to their phones. We unfortunately let our minds wander to bad places, and that's not good.

If you have feelings for that special someone, or even planning a nice date for your significant other, try the old-fashioned route. Give your crush a normal call asking them out, without using emojis or DM's to keep the relationship as simple as possible.

One of the things that social media has changed about dating is meeting new people in general. It will be very easy to meet people that you are attracted to. Chatting and speaking to each other are already easier because of the built-in applications that are present in social media. There are some people who may start to have a relationship without seeing each other in person.

They go on virtual dates and just share how their day went through social media. In a sense, it has made dating easier but it has also made dating a lot less personal. It is still different when you can actually be with the other person and talk to each other but it seems that for some, social media is already enough.
