There are so many interesting facts about Neptune aside from the fact that it is the most distant planet from the sun. The interesting thing is that it was not considered to be the farthest planet a couple of decades ago. This changed because Pluto started to become referred to as a dwarf planet.

There is a controversy about who discovered the planet first. The very first one who may have discovered this planet is Galileo but because he did not name the planet, he was not credited for it.
