Titan is known for its thick atmosphere. More and more technologies have made it possible for the surface of Titan to become more visible over the past years. There are some lakes on Titan that are near its poles. It may also have volcanoes that are in charge of spewing some of the liquids that are composed of ammonia and water.

There are also dunes that can be seen in Titan. This explains why there are some areas of the moon’s surface that look dark when the moon is viewed from the outer space. There aren’t a lot of craters available in Titan probably because it has a thick atmosphere. Meteors that may produce craters burn before they reach the surface.
