It was on March of 1966 when the first aircraft reached Venus. This is actually known as the first aircraft that was able to reach the planet. It was supposed to go with another aircraft but the other aircraft failed to reach the planet. It overheated shortly after take off.

The landing of the aircraft has allowed people to learn more about the planet in general. They have noted some of the details about the planet. Take note that there are a lot of missions that are meant to be done in order to understand Venus better. A lot of the past explorations have already been successful.
