In January 2017, Nikki received the job as United States ambassador to the United Nations. Since she was governor of South Carolina and in the republican party, Donald Trump nominated her and she was elected into that position. This position was known as being very difficult and it was very stressful so it is not unusual that she would resign from this position.
During her year in that position, Nikki Haley was in charge of the meetings since she represented the United States. Her first thing that she did concerned Russia and how she tried to get control back to Ukraine. Another thing she did was to act upon and control North Korea’s issues especially with their North Korean missile testing.
