Do people judge Tom Cruise based on his religion? Also, why?

Tom Cruise is an advocate for the Church of Scientology which means he is a scientologist. He became involved in scientology through his first wife Mimi Rogers. He officially joined the group in 1990.

I do not think Tom is been judged on his religion. He is loved by many because of his great acting skills.
