The correct answer to this question is that they are epimers. Related to chemistry, epimers are compounds. These compounds have the same chemical formula. Though the formula is the same, the compounds have different carbon atom's spacial arrangement. Other examples of epimers are epirubicin and doxorubicin. These two examples are found in drugs.

Epimers can also be known as a pair of stereoisomers, which are two isomers that differ in how they are configured. The opposite of epimers are anomers, which are epimers that have different configurations at the carbon stage. There are also diastereomers, which do not mirror images.
