What should be selected so that the objects on the layer are not visible and are not considered when the drawing is regenerated?

As you are creating objects on a computer software system, there may be times when you want the objects to be invisible. This is because the objects should not be seen from the public. It may be that you are creating these objects during a live presentation.

Also, there are times when the objects need to be included but not visible. These are two different things and when the drawing is regenerated, the objects in the background should not show.

They were only created so that a function could occur while presenting the information. If you want the objects on the layer to not be visible and not considered when the drawing is regenerated, then you need to freeze the layer.
