Which interpretation of X-ray is accurate in the following?
A nurse is reviewing a client's X-ray. The X-ray shows an endotracheal (ET) tube placed 3/4″ (2 cm) above the carina and reveals nodular lesions and patchy infiltrates in the upper lobe.

A disease process is present.

RATIONALE: This X-ray suggests tuberculosis. An ET tube thats 3/4 above the carina is at an adequate level in the trachea. Theres no need to advance it or pull it back.
