Terrestrial is a word in the English language that refers to anything that pertains to Earth, the people of Earth, and the things that are on Earth. The root of the word is terre, which means to the ground or to the Earth. With this root of the word, terrestrial deals with the ground and the earth.

This word is not to be confused with Extraterrestrial, as they are two different words. Extraterrestrial refers to beings or things that are other planets. Most people use this word to describe those that are from mars, such as aliens and the UFOs they come in.

When you say “terrestrial,” this means that you are referring to something that can be found on “earth.” Almost everything that you will find in this world is considered to be terrestrial. Even things that are related to earth can be considered as “terrestrial.” If you would use it as a noun, you would be referring to the different living things that are inhibiting the earth.

Humans can be considered terrestrials because they are living on earth. In fact, they rely on earth for a lot of things because, without some of the resources that the earth can offer, it will be very hard to continue living because things will not be enough.

The word “terrestrial” has always been associated with anything that is related to the Earth. Some say that this would refer to anything that is living on earth. This means that no matter what type of living thing it is, and it is earthbound, it will be called a terrestrial.

This explains why aliens that may be living outside the earth but may have some force that they are still controlling within the earth are called extra−terrestrials. Take note that there are not enough details that are available that will prove that aliens exist, although there are already a lot of accounts and stories saying that they do. Take note that the term terrestrial is only applicable to those who are living on land. Life forms that live on the water will be considered aquatic.

Terrestrial is an adjective that refers to any item or thing pertaining to the earth or the people or things living on the earth. The root “terre” refers to the earth or ground. Therefore, terrestrial would have something to do with the earth or ground.

Sometimes, the word terrestrial is used with the people living on earth compared to those who live on other planets. When we hear terrestrial beings, we know that these are the people who live on our planet.

Extraterrestrial are the beings that live on other planets. The use of the word extra added onto the word terrestrial refers to extra or outside of the earth. Terrestrial is also used to describe biomes and plants that are found on earth.
