To train for WWF, the Rock incorporates plyometric movements such as jump up onto boxes with explosive leg power to train his muscles. This exercise was done so that he could move quickly around the ring. The Rock spent a lot of time wrestling, which involves punching, kicking, and grappling.

He did many isolation workouts to train various muscle groups. He trains six days a week, and he rests on Sundays. He incorporates cardiovascular exercises in each workout session, which is done after a weight lifting routine. He also drinks a lot of protein shakes.
