Many believe that if you take medications orally while fasting, it is considered breaking of fast. If you are on medications and you need to fast, speak to your health care provider in advance so a plan can be made for you ahead of time.

There are some medications that can be taken on empty stomach. If you taking any of such medications, you can take your medicine while fasting if you know that it will not break your fast.
