The correct answer to this question is Newton. This measurement of force was named after physicist Sir Issac Newton. He had a theory of mechanics, which is still important to science today. The word N is an abbreviation for Newton, and one newton equals 1-kilogram meter per second squared. 1N = 1 kg m / s2 is how it is written out.

The formula in the dimensional analysis is F = ML / T2. This equation was standardized in 1946 by the Conference Generale des Poids et Mesures (CGPM). The name Newton was adopted in 1948 by the 9th CGPM Resolution.
