How many types of nail disorders are there?

There are different types of nail diseases that are available. There are so many that it will be hard to count all of them. These nail diseases are usually placed in various categories. Some nail diseases are more common as compared to others.

For example, there are infections that may occur because of the exposure to different types of bacteria. There are also some that get nail diseases because they have injured their nails. Nail fungus is also known as onychomycosis.

This may form because of constantly exposing the nails to warm and moist surroundings. There are also some structural problems that may occur due to an ingrown nail. This can sometimes be too bad that there is a need to undergo surgery.
