Usually food does not burn calories. Only exercising burns calories. However, the process of eating does burn a few calories because your body is moving when you eat, but that could be anything that is eaten not necessarily green salads. So, green salads have very few calories in them, but they do have some calories. So, green salads don’t actually burn calories, but they do not have a lot of calories in them.

They also don’t sustain a person for a while since they contain so few calories. Instead, they add calories to the number of calories that you take in during that day. Eating a green salad would be something to eat if you are trying to burn calories, but only because they have so few calories in them.
