Woody Harrelson is an actor who has been in television shows, movies and in the theater. He is best known for playing Woody Boyd in the television show, Cheers. For a long time, Harrelson played realistic characters in movies and television shows like The People vs. Larry Flint, Kingpin and I’ll Do Anything. Several of his movies like these are based on real people.

However, later in his career, he started doing more supernatural unrealistic movies like in The Hunger Games and War for the Planet of the Apes. However, Harrelson is not known for portraying characters in movies made from comic books. He may have been wanting to try something new and has the background to do it or he may feel that he is ready to play this character.
