If it would be based on the x-ray, there are different signs that will show that osteoarthritis is present. The first is the subchondral cyst formation, subchondral sclerosis, joint space narrowing, and osteophyte formation.

The x-ray is able to show all of the four signs mentioned above which means that the person from whom the x-ray was taken has the condition. The prevention of osteoarthritis will be highly dependent on lifestyle changes.

It is advisable that people will stop doing tasks that will require them to do certain movements all over and over again as this will be bad for the joints. It is also advisable that people will become more conscious of their weight. Their healthy weight will make a lot of difference.
