Is Uncharted an underrated gaming franchise?

Yes and No, because the characters and the storyline are in-depth and very good. There is also a variety of the games regarding environments, settings, dialogue, and villains. There is often spectacular action, cinematic animation, and unique and exciting heroes. The beginning and endings of the game often loop back to each other. The games often explore the relationships between the characters.

However, some have said that Uncharted 4, for example, is a bit too pompous with itself and the story. Uncharted 1 gets complaints because some say that the design was poor, and because of the awful jet ski sequences. Uncharted 3 also gets complaints because the storytelling in the game is poor. Overall, the Uncharted games are excellent and innovative, but there are still flaws.
