If you've been cat-fished, you certainly want out immediately. This kind of deception and false reporting sours all social media activity, doesn't it? If you've divulged personal information that you now regret because the other is a fraud, you need to let your friends and anyone you live with know about it.
What you don't do is feel a lesser person because of it. You were honest, you were straight. The other person let you down and they have shown themselves to be worthless. Make sure you cut their access to you on Facebook, Messenger, etc and block them on your phone too. Move on, and be more careful.
