The correct answer is lettered Walter Whitman was an American essayist, journalist, and poet whose poems are influential to the readers and often called as the father of free verse. His one of the most notable poems, Out of the Cradle Endlessly Rocking, many critics noted that this poem is an elegy of a person who just lost someone who is very dear to him.

It features a boy who saw a pair of mockingbirds that are nesting and decided to watch them. One day, the female bird fails to appear and the cries of the male mockingbird are heard. The boy then translates the male bird’s cries into a poem while realizing how nature makes an impact of the human soul.
