Yes, Elephants care for each other. They are extremely social animals. Elephants are highly intelligent animals, they behave like humans in certain ways. They help and protect their young ones from harm. Females and males move in different group. They meet one another for mating and for short interactions. They communicate through rumbles that can be heard miles away.

Elephants assist one another in times of danger, they do not abandon themselves. If an Elephant dies, everyone in the group mourn the loss of the Elephant. They console themselves with their trunk. They interlock their trunks for different purposes. After some time, young males Elephants leave the mother and the female group to join the male group.
