Cinchona is the type of bark that is used to make Quinine. Cinchona can be predominantly found in South America. Quinine is an alkaloid type. It is around for a very long time, and it is known for its ability to be able to treat certain conditions. One of those conditions that it can treat is malaria.

Another condition that quinine has been known to treat is babesiosis. Many people may not know about this condition, but it is an affection that is serious and life-threatening. This is because it can affect the blood cells. Though it can treat these conditions, quinine has a negative effect on the heart.

The type of tree bark that is used to make quinine is called Cinchona Tree. Take note that you cannot just get from any random Cinchona Tree. It has to come from the South American variety. Quinine is considered to be important because this has been used for the treatment of malaria for over 350 years.

What makes this effective is that it will work for all of the Plasmodium spp that causes malaria in people. Another thing that you should know is that quinine is not merely used for creating the vaccine against malaria. This can also be used to flavor different types of drinks.

The correct answer to this question is Cinchona. Quinine is a type of alkaloid. This type of bark is mainly found in South America. Quinine itself has been around for a long time, because it has been used to fight malaria. Quinine has also been used to treat babesiosis, which is an infection that affects the red blood cells and is life threatening.

Though it can be used for those conditions, quinine has its share of issues because it affects the heart in a negative way. When taken, some people may experience heart rhythms that are abnormal. It could also cause blood clots.

Quinine is known to be a type of alkaloid. This is taken from the bark of the Cinchona tree that can be found in South America. This alkaloid has been used by people for a long time in order to fight malaria. Aside from that, this has also been used in order to treat babesiosis. The main problem with quinine is it may have an effect on the heart that is not particularly good.

For some, it has caused them to develop abnormal heart rhythms. Those who have this will be more prone to developing heart attacks no matter what their age is. This is also known to affect clotting so the chances that a person will develop other heart conditions will also get bigger.
