Wallabies tend to eat lots of foliage. They are herbivores, so they don’t have the teeth and jaw power required to chop and grind meat in their mouths. This said, their diets tend to consist of grasses, leaves, and vegetables. They might also eat whatever foliage they can get their hands on. This is typical of wild wallabies.

If you have a pet wallaby, remember: these animals are herbivores. It is recommended you keep timothy hay on-demand for your wallaby, as well as chemical-free grass. If you can keep them outside in the backyard, keep your backyard as free from chemical sprays as possible. Vitamin E and selenium supplements are also suggested, as are wallaby pellets for supplemental nutrition that is not provided by the grass and hay. Fresh fruits that aren’t overly sweet are also a suggested food for your pet wallaby.
