In 2013, Snapchat invented the stories feature. Stories were added to WhatsApp in order to be competitive with Snapchat. Facebook believes “that camera-based messaging represents the future of social interaction.” The stories features are pretty cool. You can add various fun effects to your photos and videos such as masks and frames.
Facebook has and is continuing to work with companies that own the brands such as Despicable Me and Guardians of the Galaxy to use masks. You can also add “reactive effects” like falling snow. All this is accomplished by using the phone’s camera. Then all you need to do is post the story as you would normally post to Facebook.
