There are several (English) translated Bible that people can choose from. Many recommend getting the New International Version (NIV) or the English Standard Version (ESV). The reasons are the words used in it are easy to understand compared to the King James Version that uses deeper words that people nowadays do not often use.
The translations in the KJV is word per word from the original language of the Bible thus harder to understand. For the NIV and ESV bibles, they both use modern English language that majority of people can easily understand. And understanding the verses make it easier for people to meditate and study more of the word of God.
