There are many episodes in the drama that are one of a kind and really pulled at the hearts of the viewers. However, if we have to choose one episode, it will be the second episode of season 4. It is the best because it shows off all the qualities in fine detail that has made the show popular in the first place. The burning at the stake, the slaughter, the vicious violence and steamy romance, all in one place.

The episode takes you back in the medieval era and highlights why the season was so amazing to begin with. Three major deaths are seen in this season, especially the one of Joffrey making it an iconic episode.

According to a very large amount of Game of Thrones fans and insiders, the best episode of Game of Thrones ever was from Season 4 and was the second episode of the season. It was titled The Lion and the Rose. The reason that this episode is noted as being the best is that it showcases much of the imagery that the series has been known for.

One scene in particular from this episode is the burning at the stake of three condemned people. There is also the accusation and condemning of people believing that it was them that killed someone by poison. This episode gives a real feel of the medevial times and gives the viewers a feeling of just how great Game of Thrones is as a television series.

Tansy, Axell, and Joffrey see their demises in this episode. In the end, the episode The Lion and the Rose was the best episode in the history of Game of Thrones because it was able to have all of the things that the series is most popular for all in one episode.
